Hello! I have created a number of offers (weâre having a sale) and they work fine if you are not a current member. BUT, if you are already a current member, you get an error message: âYou already have an active subscriptionâ â even if you are trying to upgrade!
This is a real show-stopper. Is there some setting in the offer, or that I can add to the link, to let current members upgrade via an offer?
Just discovered this as I tested an email I was sending to all my members. HELP!
Any ideas? Canât send this newsletter till I get this solved.
I am afraid offer links create a new subscription, as far as I saw in the source code â so Ghost guards existing paid subscriptions from creating a new one.
Free members, on the other hand, should be able to use them normally.
For existing paid members that want the discount, you could apply it manually in Stripe.
Jannis â Thanks for the info. Makes sense, I guess, that Ghost would prevent dual subscriptions. Still a pain for me.
But, I went to Stripe to set up a way to do it manually. Kinda kludgy, but can be done.
Thanks for your help, as always. You and Cathy make my life so much easier!

And for the Ghost team â having upgrade offers as well as newly-paid offers would be a nice addition.
