Product card v2.0

I love the product card - but it could be better for affiliate marketers.

Here’s how:

  1. Multiple button CTAs
  2. Optional disclaimer below buttons
  3. Optional border thickness
  4. Optional badge
  5. Integration with Amazon product advertising APIs / other affiliate scheme APIs for price updates and images
  6. Optional bullets for pros and cons (ticks / crosses)

Attached is Wirecutters product card, it converts

Thanks for the votes

Yes, and a few different layout variations would be good too. Horizontal (current), vertical, list style with thumb etc.

Hi everyone, @Leepish and @bert_o_t,

I’m building an integration that will do just that - Customize product cards for affiliate marketing.

It will be the Lasso or Genius for Ghost.

Would love your feedback, or reach out if you’d be interested to try it!
Affiliate_link_Card

Here’s what it’ll do:

  1. Show the item prices at major retailers (Target, Amazon, Walmart etc.), so your reader can choose the best price

  2. Show product availability so your reader knows they can get it

  3. Direct international customers to the right Amazon store

  4. Price and availability gets refreshed at least once every 24 hours, so it will be very accurate

  5. Fix broken links automatically

See it in action on our test blog [Affordable Stocking Stuffers: Affordable Stocking Stuffers: Fidget toys that buy parents time (and sanity) (oh-mother.ghost.io)

I’m currently building a recommended reads section using product cards. I agree that this card needs a revamping. The biggest painpoint for me: layout and placement on desktop. The cards take A LOT of space with the standard theme source (v1.4.1).

On mobile an image with a title, some description and a button fills more than the whole screen of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. It would be nice to have a horizontal option so two to three products fit on the screen. But on mobile the experience is alright.

On desktop on the other hand just the middle column is used with large blank spaces left and right. On a 13 inch MacBook the cover of one book fills the whole screen, for title and description I already have to scroll. However, these cards should be displayed in multiple columns and/or rows.

I think more display and render options or at least some tweaking in the displayal is needed here.
