Hello everyone,
I have a small email list, formerly hosted at Mailchimp.
I closed the Mailchimp list, and exported the list to Ghost (with Mailgun integration).
Now my email is coming from a mg subdomain instead of my previous email address.
I used to have a 50-75% open rate; I’ve sent two emails now and the rates were 13% and then 20%. I’ve also had some sign ups since moving to Ghost, so not sure how much of what‘s getting opened is just new sign ups.
What’s the best way to get back to my old open rate?
The old email address that I sent from *is* an actual email address, so I could send an email to the old list asking them to… what, resubscribe via my Ghost subscription page? To add the new email address to their contacts? Something else?
(Not directly related, but also wondering, if I’m sending this email and having them resubscribe, if this is the time to launch a paid sub as well.)
Thank you!
