[SOLVED] Run Ghost in a Folder

I’d like to run ghost in a folder on what is otherwise a static website. It’s possible my lingo is off. What I mean is—

E.g. example.com would be static and example.com/blog would be ghost (customised theme)

I’m indifferent as to whether it’s a subdomain (blog.example.com) but get the impression from other posts that that is bad for SEO and creates a sense of duplicative content.

Any advice, even “that’s impossible you dolt”, would be appreciated.
