Starter custom theme

My name is Mark and I just installed ghost cms on my desktop. I want to create my own blog with a custom theme.

My question is should I start from scratch or use a starter theme.

Hey Mark.

I’m not sure what your experience is with the Handlebars templating language, but I found it helpful to start with the Ghost default theme Casper to learn my way around before I began customizing.

This is another starter theme from Ghost that seems to be geared toward beginner development: GitHub - TryGhost/Starter: A development starter theme for Ghost

I also believe that the Ghost docs are helpful enough to start something up from scratch.
