We’re a print magazine with a sizable base of paying subscribers. We want to build a digital platform for subscribers with several access tiers and give them the ability to view the magazine electronically (PDF or ePub viewer). Does Ghost offer solutions like this?
Ghost supports access based on membership tier, yes.
Ghost doesn’t generate PDFs or ePub files, but you can upload them. You can embed them as links, or using a variety of other options - here’s a demo for PDFs. A couple PDF options for Ghost
One caution: Ghost gates page access based on membership tier, but doesn’t gate access to files (i.e. PDFs). So if you’re going this route, it’s going to be important to give your files long unguessable names.
