Hey guys, browsing around the Ghost forum I noticed @John said last year that you guys were releasing the next version of the WordPress exporter soon. I was wondering with it being 7 months since that post, whether we can still expect there to be an update to the plugin?

The exporter was actually updated to version 1.0 and then 1.0.1 just a few days after John’s comment, for Ghost 2.x and 3.x utilization. Scroll down on the following page and you can see the changelog 
Hey @Stromfeldt, thanks. Asking as the plugin doesn’t seem to work either with the zip or json export function. After some research, it seems to be a common thing that the WordPress ghost export plugin just doesn’t work.
Could I clarify if there’s been any continued development with the plugin tooling?

There’s plenty of development on the plugin, as you can see from the changelog which is directly on the plugin’s page, as well as in the GitHub repository linked to in this topic. If you’re having trouble and need help, then you will need to provide information so that people are able to make suggestions of how to help you.
Just saying “it doesnt work” with no further information unfortunately isn’t useful.

Running both the download zip and json export functions for the plugin results in a critical error. This WordPress is quite large, with over 7,000 posts.
