When to use ghost desktop

I have a single site on ghost pro. I see there is a ghost desktop application that allows you to write content locally and then push it/sync it to your hosted solutions.

Is there any benefit, purpose, or did the developers intend for users who host a single webpage to use the desktop application instead of logging into the web interface? Or, is the purpose more so for people who are hosting multiple ghost instances … and to have a centralized location to manage them?

@someguy Ghost Desktop doesn’t have any functionality beyond what’s available in the web interface, what it does give you is a single app which can make switching between multiple Ghost blogs easier and it can let you use Ghost’s admin if you’re in an environment which doesn’t have a supported browser.
