I would like to be able to have new posts made to my Ghost blog propagated across social networks as a post including the title, excerpt, and a link providing readers with the ability to click through and read the original post on my Ghost site.
Partly this is because while I obviously want propagation of my posts (and people seem to enjoy having that), I’m uncomfortable with having the full content replicated everywhere for reasons at least partly to do with copyright of things-to-be-turned-into-books-eventually.
And partly it’s because a lot of those posts are rather long, and I don’t think readers using Mastodon, for example, are going to be all that happy with multi-screen long toots showing up in their feeds either.
Having this as an option for Network seems like it would add some convenient flexibility for the blogs that don’t quite fit the current model.
