Another Paywall Question (doing something wrong)

Hi there, I am about to publish my freemium newsletter, where the first half is free and second half is paid. I added the paywall and chose the Post Access setting to “paid members only” but now when I got to email it, it looks like it will ONLY send to my paid members rather than the whole list

What is the best way to send this to the entire list but block free users from seeing paywall?

You /can/ send it to free also, you just need to check the option. :) (That’s a button!)

Be warned that if you don’t have a public preview line in and choose free members to receive it, it WILL send the whole article to the free members. So be sure you put in your public preview line if you want your free members not to get the whole thing.

Ah okay so Free members still wont see the paywall in the email? ty

If you put a public preview line in the post, free members will get everything before the public preview, plus a call to sign up.

Two examples:

Ty so much! How did you set up the CTA in the subscribe option it displays? I love your CTA btw its so cute

This one is a Sign-up card, which is available in the post editor. (I just stick it at the end of the post.)

This one is a little html snippet:

and I talk about how to set it up here: How to set up a tip jar in Ghost

(Telling me it was the one with the cute ghost didn’t help very much, oddly enough… )
