Any way to block disruptive members/subscribers?

I can see by searching that this has come up before, but I’m wondering if anyone has any new ideas about blocking problematic subscribers. In my case, a clearly mentally unwell man who leaves nonsensical comments on every post, to the point where it’s chasing other commenters away. I finally pulled the plug on him, cancelled his subscription and deleted his info on Ghost and in Stripe, but he re-subscribed right away. I cancel; he resubscribes; etc, etc. This sometimes happens several times a day, like a depressing game of Whac-a-Mole.

I am not a programmer and am leery about getting under the hood of Ghost’s script language, as I’ve seen recommended in earlier posts. I can block him from getting the newsletter emails, but since he’s paying for a top-tier subscription, that seems a little punitive. I just want to get rid of the guy. Any suggestions?

Can you edit the theme? If so, don’t render the comments section when the member ID matches his.

Or… put something like cloudflare out in front, and block his IP.

If you’re in managed hosting, reaching out to your host for help would also be a good idea.
