Design preview screen not showing

I am starting with Ghost so hopefully it’s a dim mistake…
I’ve created a VM running Ubuntu and installed Ghost as the guide shows.

The website is accessed via HA Proxy running on a PFSense box.

The site works but the preview window for designs isn’t showing anything but changes to take.

I’ve tried different browsers and machines, same issue with all of them. Has anyone come across this before and solved it?

This is likely to be a proxy problem of one sort or another.

Any errors in the browser console?

I was reading about and I think it’s something to do with the proxy. When I first made the site it was a http, as pfSense handles my certificates. I think that’s what has update it.

When I changed it to a HTTPS and setup an SSL using Ghost, I then got a 502 error.

Did you update the blog URL? Please see the official documentation about how to update URL: ghost-config

Yes, the URL was changed to https and an SSL was added, I just get the 502.

Does anything need to be changed in ghost or Nginx to allow for use with HA Proxy?

I’ve now added a SSL from within Ghost and when I access the address using a NAT rule - all works.
When I use HA Proxy and the cert that it gives, I now get a 400 error ‘The plain HTTP request was sent to HTTPS port’

Any thoughts?
