Direct signup link (paid member) workflow

I’m playing around with the direct signup links to paid memberships found in Portal.

If you go directly to a paid sign-up link, it takes you straight to Stripe without a sign-up to the Ghost install first.

Does anyone know how Ghost handles it if a person goes to that link and signs up while either not being logged in, or not even being a free subscriber?

Thats really interesting. I tried to set that up on my current site to prove you wrong and you are correct. It takes you directly to the Stripe checkout. Surely this is a bug?
