It is very annoying that Ghost would convert non-Latin characters into a nonsense piece of string for tag and url. This is very bad in SEO when we are writing content in Chinese. I have been looking for many requests on this topic on Github and this forum already. This has been discussed since 2014. Will the team provide an option to disable this soon? If not, can you give some directions on where you do the conversions and we can take a look and make the change.
I love Ghost because of its performance and ease of use. And I don’t want to have majority of websites building with a single system. That’s why we setup our CMS with Ghost and build our website entirely using the Ghost API. However, this “feature” breaks SEO and web UX. I hope this can be solved as soon as possible.
