Discrepancy between metadata description and the real work goolgle search preview

Hello,
My blog started to be indexed (yay!) but I do notice a big discrepancy between the metadata description in the blog post and the actual preview that google displays in the search results. This is the post I’m talking about: First road trip: our Tuscan itinerary while working remote

Any idea how to fix this?

Google will rewrite your descriptions (and even site titles) to provide a better experience in search results. Here’s an overview: Google Explains Why it Rewrites Meta Descriptions

The TLDR is that ultimately there’s not much you can do, as it’s entirely up to Google.
