I want to add meta description

I would like to add the part I entered as a description in the articles as a meta head description tag in addition to og types. Which files do I need to edit?

The lack of meta description is intentional

Alert for when meta description is missing

Meta description is completely optional, and not a ranking factor - so we would not consider making a prominent nagging piece of UI for it. Using ahrefs sounds like the correct approach if this is something you care about keeping track of.

Is there a way to add this manually? Because the texts and menus are mixed in google results.

You can add a custom meta description (Post → Post Settings at top right → Meta Data → Meta Description),
