I’ve been publishing for a few months now, and my seo has been struggling. I noticed today that even if I google word-for-word the title of a post, the Meta title will show a random Tag I’ve used to sort my posts.
Don’t know what to do about this, as in the state, the article’s I’ve written aren’t having their meta titles displayed on the web.
It is a specific feature of the Google search. Google’s algos think that the tag pages are more valuable than post pages. On the other hand, I can understand Google’s engineers because tag pages provide more information, so they may be more valuable for users than posts.
Can you change that? The short answer is yes, you can. There are several ways to address that problem. First of all, analyse the content of the post. Use Google Search Console to know the keywords the post appears for. If you won’t see any data, try to read the post. Which questions could it answer? How is it valuable for real people?
