Edit snippets that have been saved

Currently, Ghost has no way to edit or overwrite snippets. Typing in the same name for a new snippet also does not apply this behavior.

While I see that this feature is planned, it’d be great if that’ll include the ability to rearrange the order of snippets.

What I do presently is:

  1. Add the snippet to the page
  2. Edit the contents of the snippet
  3. Delete the snippet from the cards panel
  4. Add the snippet again with the same name using the edited version on the page

Granted it’s a bit of a irregular process, but it’s pretty quick

You’ve probably figured this out by yourself by now, but since this thread is still open, I thought I’d add that there’s a simpler way to do this.

  1. Add existing snippet to page/post
  2. Edit snippet
  3. In the snippets menu, type the name of the snippet and it will give you the option to replace the current one.

Will this, when released, allow for global snippets? Meaning if I update one snippet on a post, all posts using the same snippet will also update?
