Email digest or email for selected tags?

Hello,

I am new to using Ghost.

Is it possible to send weekly email digest to members instead of single post at a time?

Can we allow members to choose the kind of posts they want to receive via email? For instance, one member could choose email for posts with ‘recipes’ tag and other could choose posts with ‘recipes’ and ‘informational’ tags?

You definitely could send a curated email or a digest - the easiest way to do so would be to share the posts you want to feature using cards in the editor to make it look the part.

I’d recommend curating a digest style email manually and adding a personal touch for better email performance. Automatically generated digests lack personality and tend to get poor open rates and disengagement from an audience.

Do you mean combine multiple posts into one post using cards and then send out email for combined post?

I completely agree with you. Do you have any further suggestion about a tool that supports this or makes the process easier?

Exactly - you can paste any post from your site (or any other links for that matter) to create cards for a roundup.

I’m suggesting that you don’t need extra tools for this. By keeping it simple and writing your digest emails by hand, you’ll be able to make sure they look great and have a personal touch.
