German translation of Portal

Hi Cathy,

some good and some bad news relating to the German translations of portal.

It seems that some of the German translations have been implemented but the translation of “month” and “year” in the portal is still missing.

However, I realized that, in case I offer a trial period for the subscriptions, the translations are done correctly for “month” and “year”, which is nice. However, now there are some new layout issues as the German text takes too much space in the desktop and mobile version…

I would suggest to do the following, i.e. delete “jetzt” wich means now in English:

• old: “(save {{highestYearlyDiscount}}%)”: “(jetzt {{highestYearlyDiscount}}% sparen)”
• new: “(save {{highestYearlyDiscount}}%)”: “({{highestYearlyDiscount}}% sparen)”

For the bottom part, I would suggest to just use “Auswählen” which means “Select” in English. There is no need to mention the test period in the button as there is another field at the top which already indicates that. This way, it is much leaner and all the fields have the same name. Here my suggestion:

• old: “Start {{amount}}-day free trial”: “Starte dein {{amount}}-tägiges kostenfreies Testabo”
• new: “Start {{amount}}-day free trial”: “Auswählen”

Thanks. I’ve fixed the missing /month and /year problem. Again.
Discount-related strings fixed. German is wordy!
Changes will be a few days - they await the next portal release.

Wow, thanks Cathy. You’re amazing!

I would use “Auswählen” which means “Select”. Then all subscriptions show the same button, the free ones and the paid ones, which makes the most sense in my view.

We have the same problem in spanish
"Start {{amount}}-day free trial": "Comienza el período de prueba gratuito de {{amount}} días",

It is simply way too long.

The word “Start” (Comenzar) or “Select” (Selecciona) would be enough
