Is manually creating bookmark cards discouraged?

I’ve noticed that some pages don’t work well with bookmark cards due to them lacking the correct set up. Likewise, I’ve noticed that bookmark-cards to some sites (particularly Squarespace sites) end up with raw HTML being displayed in the rendered portion of the .kg-bookmark-description section. I can remedy all this by manually creating my own bookmark via inserting all the necessary data in an HTML-card.

What I’m wondering is whether or not this is a good idea. That is, since the bookmark-card is a template (?) it could change in the future, meaning my manually created HTML-based bookmark cards would be broken.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

I don’t think there’s any harm doing this. Even if bookmark cards changed in the future, as long as you kept the CSS in your theme that’s presenting those “custom” bookmark cards then they’ll continue to work :+1:
