Link Previews (cards) not working on Discord for plain embeds?

If you’re looking for some help, it’s important to provide as much context as possible so that people are able to assist you. Try to always mention:

  • What’s your URL? Can’t share; private.
  • What version of Ghost are you using? 3.13
  • What configuration? N/A
  • What browser? Chrome, FF, IE

Twitter and Facebook cards are working properly. I have tested also by sending messages in Telegram and they work properly with the link embed, showing my designated post’s thumbnail, description (summary) and title.

For example: example.com/post-about-dogs

This properly embeds on Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, but it does not embed on Discord (for some reason)

Any idea? I’ve tried editing the default.hbs with proper meta tags; I have tested with friends, they have exact same issue. No ghost instance they run embeds properly on Discord with rich embeds.

Still waiting, 6 months later and no updates from customer support or other Ghost users.

Without a link to test, it’s hard for others to help.
