I received a recent ghost newsletter advising that adding other social links in addition to Facebook and X/twitter was now available to ghost approved schemes.
I’m running Casper and, despite updating it to the latest iteration, I can find no provision for adding further social links in the settings!
Can you please confirm this to be available and if so, why am I not seeing this in my settings?

The social links are for staff members, not sitewide. You should see the options in the ‘social links’ tab when you open your profile. (It’s linked from the little user avatar in the lower left corner of the admin page.)
If you are in managed hosting, you should be on a version of Ghost that supports that already. If you’re self hosting and not seeing the social links tab, you probably need to update Ghost.
If you’ve added to the social links tab but aren’t seeing it on your author page, then you probably need to update Casper, which you can do from /ghost > settings > theme - you’ll select Casper and confirm when asked if you want to overwrite your current copy of the theme. (Don’t do this if you customized, obviously.)
