Members need to sign in via mail every time

Hi, we’ve just launched our magazine on Ghost and it’s great. We are delivering all articles as newsletters straight to members’ mailboxes.

However, some are reporting that they have to sign in repeatedly, in fact, every time. These members use different types of browsers, sometimes it is on the phone, sometimes on the desktop browser.

But the solution there doesn’t apply to the people I’ve spoken to.

Is this a cookie thing? A GDPR thing (we’re in Sweden)? Is there any solution that we can effectuate from our end – or can we add some information about this to a welcome page or in our weekly newsletter that would help people get around this problem?

If it’s phones, is it possible this is an in app browser problem?

On desktop, is it possible their email client opens a different browser than the one they regularly use?

Another possibility is that your user has their security settings so aggressively high that cookies aren’t being saved.

Thank you. I’ll check with some people who have the issue to see if it is just the cookie settings. It’s quite possible.
