Hi, I seem to have the opposite issue from a lot of people. I use convertkit for sending emails that recap or preview content on my site, but I want to run the memberships through Ghost. Is there a way to have memberships without needing the newsletter sign up step?
Yeah, you can archive all your newsletters, thus users can sign up without subscribing to newsletters.
I can archive all but one. Regardless of which one, it won’t let me archive all newsletters in the account.
I can walk around this restriction by creating a new newsletter, then archiving all.
Are you saying you have an archive all button? If I create a new newsletter I can still only archive all but one.
you have an archive all button
No, by creating a new newsletter, I can have the “archive newsletter” button on every newsletter.
Not sure if this is related to the Ghost version, I’m using 5.82.2.
I’m using 5.94.0 and I can see in the Changelog some changes to newsletters but nothing sticks out as the difference we’re having.
Maybe you can set “Subscribe new members on signup” for the newsletter you can’t archive, thus, users won’t need to choose newsletter when signing up, then you simply don’t send it. A small walkaround.
