I am looking for a minimalistic and text-oriented compact theme for a Ghost blog. It should be able to handle short and long posts and make the difference clearly visible. Has anyone a good tipp?
This theme is very minimal, have you tried it?
Yeah, I know the official themes and the themes of these companies as well:
Their themes are not exactly compact and overall way too markety, too visually loud for my taste. Iām looking for a theme that give readers and visitors the joy of reading.
Two good examples come to mind:
Both have visual indicators of what is a short post and a longform post and I like that a lot. With the fediverse connection I like to be able to post short posts and longform posts.
Not exactly in the stly you mentioned but I do have a free minimal theme:
Or if you want something more premium with full-posts on the homepage:
Thank you @brightthemes, I will look into Curie.
Now with Ghost 6 a theme that offers a timeline including social posts and long post would be perfect.
Thereās no current mechanism for accessing AP content from a Ghost theme. I hope weāll get one, but it isnāt something a theme can easily provide.
(I suspect thereās some javascript trickery (possibly requiring a cloud function) that could be used to get this content onto your website, but thereās nothing built in.)
Thank you @Cathy_Sarisky - Thatās good to know! However, I hope it doesnāt stay that way. As a blogger, Iād like to have a unified timeline containing both short and long posts, and I donāt think thatās an unreasonable request. Is this something I should post in āideasā as well?
I totally agree, and would vote for it if you wrote it up.
Hi @Cathy_Sarisky do you think thatās clear? Or should something else be added?
