Newsletter image rendering issue (Gmail)

Hi everyone,

New Ghost user here. My page is https://texasplenty.com. One of the big reason I switched to Ghost was the native newsletter feature. I’m trying to send out an email but the email is stretching my images. Example below.

Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Thanks,
Alex

If you’re looking for some help, it’s important to provide as much context as possible so that people are able to assist you:

  • What’s your URL?
  • What version of Ghost are you using?
  • What configuration?
  • What browser?
  • What errors or information do you see in the console?
  • What steps could someone else take to reproduce the issue you’re having?

Thanks!

@DavidDarnes - sorry about that. Let me try again.

  • URL: https://texasplenty.com.
  • Ghost Version: 3.21.0
  • Configuration:
    • Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (AWS Lightsail)
    • MySQL 5.7.30 (AWS Lightsail)
    • Static IP through AWS Lightsail
    • DNS managed via Cloudflare
  • Browser: Google Chrome 83.0.4103.119
  • Error Messages: None
  • Reproducibility: Create a Ghost post and upload either JPG or PNG images. Then try to send a test email to convert the post to email format. The resulting images will be distorted. The issue seems most acute with graphs or charts. This active post renders poorly.

Has anyone else run into this issue? If I knew where the email format lived, perhaps I could fiddle with it to fix the issue.

For anyone looking for a workaround on this issue, if you insert the image using Markdown the rending issue resolves itself.
