One time payment for courses

Hi there!

I might be missing something because I can’t find a way on the Ghost web panel to add a one-time payment to certain content. My idea is to create an online academy, and I want to offer monthly/annual recurring payments or pay-as-you-go, so you would pay for the courses individually.

I’ve found some “old” posts talking about using PayPal, etc., but that eats a lot into the margins and limits the options. I would love to keep it as native as possible and use Stripe.

Thanks for any help!

Ghost doesn’t have a classic pay-as-you-go option. It’s either monthly or yearly memberships, or – something newer – donation-based:

oh no :frowning:

thanks for the info!

One-time-payments would be useful, yes, for selling to those who do not like subscriptions.

I believe “pay per view” would be a great feature to have cause ever so often one really just want to read that “the one” article.

@jcastro, you could set up a new Course tier and have a monthly or yearly charge for folks to access the course.

I’m also currently exploring ways to create a course where users can access a course, navigate through lessons, and pay based on the pricing of each course. I have not found anything definitive yet, though.

I like @Cathy_Sarisky idea of having pay per view. This way users can only pay for per lesson or post that they view/need. This would be user friendly and efficient too.

Not me, @Roy! I’ve never done a pay per view integration, but there was someone on the forum who has… not sure where that thread got off to.
