Paywall Enhancements

I use a paywall in specific ways.

First of all, I don’t use it as a “free preview.” the bulk of the article is free, not a preview. Rather, I put just one section–often a “secondhand” section–behind a paywall. The paywall hides a special little perk for paid subscribers, but everything else is public.

So, first of all, the “free preview” card doesn’t make any sense, and I always spend a minute looking for the “paywall” button before I remember that ghost calls it “free preview” for some reason.

Second of all, for the actual practical change: I’d really love it if I could open and close the paywall, putting the paid section in the middle of the article, and then putting more free stuff after the paid section. So, for me, this would usually be something like, main article | where to buy stuff | secondhand options (paywalled) | further reading / final photo / a little song at the end / something like that.
