Portal: default to monthly rather than yearly

It depends on how you installed it. If you installed it by cloning the GitHub, you have to do a pool, and that is rather complicated. I installed it with docker, so I just have to update my docker image.

I would not recommend updating just the one file. I recommend that you become familiar with how to update your version of ghost without losing data. I’m sure there are other posts on the forum to help with that.

I’m delighted that I waited for a week or so before I started development on that feature since someone was already working on it. :grin:

That did the trick, thanks!

I updated Ghost and the self-hosted portal-file. Perfect result!

@Berkeley_Scanner - that’s what you’ve been looking for

I’m happy with my solution — because I’d rather they go monthly than annually.

That said, my Ghost files are all on GitHub. I guess I need to download / replace the Portal file if I do want to see the new version. Thanks for flagging!

That said — anytime Ghost updates, my site updates (Ghost is still the host). But sometimes they do update elements in whatever theme files, e.g. adding different features, which do not change on my site because it is customized in certain ways. It gets a bit confusing!

With the newest Ghost version(5.82.2), you can set monthly as the default.
