Retrospective editing of HTML imported text

My site was imported from WordPress about 9 months ago. The imported posts are all HTML blocks. I now want to retrospectively add some Ghost-specific features e.g. Callouts, paywall-divider, signup boxes within a few (10-20) of these posts.

I’d planned to open/edit the post, copy the entire HTML block, add in the callout (or whatever), paste the entire HTML block, and then remove the bits that aren’t needed from the two HTML blocks to recreate the entire post.

Other than being a bit of a palaver and more than likely error-prone due to my ‘fat fingers’, is there a better way?

With thanks and Season’s Greetings to all :grinning:

That’s the best I’ve got. You could go back and try to import into native format instead of html, but that can be lossy.

Thanks @Cathy_Sarisky, I feared as much, but still preferable to dabbling with a native import.
