Stripe testing on Ghost(Pro) v6

Hello, I’d like to test the Stripe connection for a new site on Ghost(Pro) v6.

If we’ve already connected Stripe in prod mode, is it destructive to disconnect/reconnect in test mode?

I don’t mind temporarily turning off live payments, but I would hope that all of our tiers/discount codes/etc would still be there when I reconnect in prod mode.

Hey everyone! Does anyone know if it’s possible to connect the test mode Stripe to the Ghost? I would like to test my user workflow before real payments, but don’t know how to do that Thanks!

How can I run my Ghost site in Stripe test mode?

When you connect, you create the connection in one mode or another. You can’t swap once connected. On the membership settings page there’s a “Connected to Stripe” indiciator [image] Clicking on it will show you what mode you are in: [image] You can also disconnect, and reconnect in the opposite mode.

Your tiers will survive a disconnect and reconnect, BUT if you have any active subscriptions, Ghost won’t let you disconnect. If you’re wanting to test, you may want to install locally instead. It’s a little fussy to get Stripe working for a local install, but it’s possible.
