Stripe Webhooks failing for some reason

I received an email from Stripe saying the following:

  • Stripe notified Clay that webhooks to https://sitename.com/members/webhooks/stripe/ have failed 22 times since January 18, 2026.

Here is an example of a failure.

There was no change on the Stripe end, and the only recent change on the Ghost server was to upgrade the OS.

It should be noted that there have been some successful subscription renewals since the 18th.

What could be causing these (what other info do I need to provide to help troubleshoot these)? I don’t see anything I can do on the Ghost side of things it’s not clear why this is failing suddenly on the Stripe side.

This has been resolved using brute force by updating the OS and Ghost Core – so we don’t know why this started to fail.
