Time to Change Ghost Leadership

In Hannah’s response to my query re her apparent reaction to my comments at Github she invited an email to support. In other words, don’t hold @Hannah accountable publicly. I will let others debate, or not, whether my comments were abusive or simply uncomfortable to read.

In Newsletter settings won't update I stumbled across an unfortunate reference to male anatomy in a public facing document that is meant to encourage good behavior. Ghost.org Code of Conduct Such references are consistent with the organizational persona that repulsed me years ago. Upon my recent return to Ghost. I see things have not improved.

So my time with Ghost has come to an end. The present leadership or at least @Hannah does not appear up to the task of slowing the flattening of Ghost’s once steep arc of success. As of today the dozen or so Ghost projects I have in development will no longer use Ghost.

Best of luck with your journey.

This post will be CC support@ghost.org and report@ghost.org

Since you’re referring to my post, I think some clarification is needed. The phrase used was an intransitive verb and not the vulgar noun you allude to. The term is predominantly used informally to describe someone who is actively irritating others.

I’d also suggest you read through the code of conduct you posted.

Specifically, …

Be collaborative: Ghost isn’t a giant corporation, it’s a non-profit organisation and volunteer community. That means if you want something, it’s up to you to get involved and make it happen. Don’t show up with entitlement and demands. Do show up and ask how you can help.
