Is there a way to add new post to a particular page that I have link to navigation? Or are the navigation only allowed to point to static pages that don’t allow posting to them?

I got it, I needed to set up public tags and then point the menu item to the tag and then for each new post use that tag to have it show up under that menu item.
Nice - well done! Tag archives are so useful for this.
