Hello Good People,
I’m facing problem in indexing my self hosted ghost blog in Bing. I’ve verified my blog in Bing webmaster and submit sitemap.xml. But when I inspect the homepage URL in Bing webmaster using the “URL Inspection” option, it’s showing this following error (Please see the screenshot)
Also, Google is taking longer time than usual to index my new posts. I’ve already published 14 posts and Google juts index 2 posts (although I’ve verified my site using Google Search Console, Submit Sitemap and also Manually submit each posts URL to index). It’s already 5 days but Google only index 2 posts and homepage.
What Can I do to index in Bing and Faster index in Google?
If you haven’t already done so, hit that “Request Indexing” button in Bing. I’ll guess (since your site appears up now) that you had some hiccup with your DNS setup that coincided with when Bing tried to visit.
Google can be pretty slow. Five days doesn’t sound crazy long…

Hello Cathy,
I’ve already manually submit each URLS in Bing using the Request Indexing option. But still not indexed.
And for Google, 5 days sounds crazy long for me because, when I submit some other new blog/sites (Built with WordPress and Custom CMS using Next.js) URLS manually in Google, Google index them within 10-30 minutes. As per my knowledge, Ghost CMC comes with clean code, SEO friendly, lightweight, loads very fast, so Google should crawl and index faster then WordPress. But I’m seeing the opposite things here.
However, as a newbie Ghost CMS user, I’m just curious that “Is I’m doing anything wrong that takes long time to index in both Google and Bing.” That’s it.
I don’t think Ghost is the issue here. I mean for me a new posts get indexed within minutes after a submission now, bing is a bit slow. But in the beginning i.e first 1 month or so, it was delayed, for both wordpress and ghost. Now it gets indexed quickly with all search engines i.e, bing, ddg, yandex, preplexity etc. Also what I have seen that after a certain site loading speed, site speed doesn’t really matter for both indexing and ranking. That can be achieved very easily with Ghost, and WordPress both. WordPress do need little work though.
Also, if you want to add a CDN infront of your site I have written 2 guides one for Cloudflare and one for Bunny, also if you don’t want cdn you can use Varnish on your server. These might help you too.
