I’d love to add a call-out at the bottom of my emails, encouraging subscribers to forward the email to a friend. But I’m curious what happens if a paid subscriber forwards the email to someone who is a free subscriber, or not subscribed at all? My gut tells me that would be fine, because they already have the content of the email and it’s not like the recipient would need to log in, but I want to make sure that’s correct before I encourage people to forward something that won’t be accessible to the people they send it to!

. If you want to be super safe / double check, you could just sent a test mail to yourself and forward it to your friend / another account.
