Can't reset staff user password

I am in the “Staff” section under my Ghost admin dashboard and at the bottom of the staff’s profile, there’s a “New password” and “Verify Password” field. if you provide a password in both fields (matching each other), the error I get tells me that the old password doesn’t match. There is no field for an old password, so I’m not quite sure what’s up with this. Any suggestions? My staff member mentioned that they haven’t received the password reset link either from the forgot password prompt.
