Am I the only one that thinks that Ghost used to be SO much easier to implement and modify? I have had nothing but problems with recent installs, in differing environments. I almost wonder if it’s intentional, to direct folks to just give up and use Ghost Pro.

Ghost Pro is literally the same code.
If people find self-hosting Ghost difficult, upgrading to Ghost Pro is one option, but switching to another blog platform they like better is an option.
Ghost keeps gaining features, and with features come some complexity.
