I would love to see enhanced CTA and signup forms that will present the right CTA for the right kind of user. That is, we add one CTA snippet, and Ghost automatically determines which user should see what message:
-
First-time visitors get a friendly invite and opportunity to join the mailing list.
-
If they’re on the free list, they get a little nudge to upgrade to the paid version with even more amazing stuff!
-
People who subscribe monthly get a gentle reminder that they can save more by switching to an annual plan.
-
And annual subscribers are encouraged to share the love by gifting a subscription or making a donation.
-
On top of all that, it’d be super handy if site owners could customize signup forms with names and specific membership levels. That way, everything feels more personal and tailored to each user’s interests.
This will hopefully increase conversions, give site owners more customizability options, and allow users to engage in a more personalised manner.
Additional nice to have features may also include:
-
Implement page-specific CTAs based on the content the user is currently viewing. For example, if a user is reading an article about photography, the CTA could offer a photography-related ebook or course.
-
Use exit-intent popups to capture users who are about to leave the site, offering them a compelling reason to stay or subscribe.
