I’m using the official Ghost theme Source and wanting to change the homepage sign-up form (see picture attached) to a button that links to the sign-up portal, instead of an email entry box.
For signed-out users, this form is automatically placed half-way down the homepage, and also at the footer of every page.

You can find this form inside partials/email-subscription.hbs in theme files. Just download the theme, update your changes here, zip folder and upload again.

If you are able to use Custom Themes in your current hosting provider, yes it should work. Check your “Theme” menu in your Ghost Admin then go to “Change Theme” → “Installed” tab.
If you able to Download and Upload themes here, then you are good. Download Source theme, change the file, zip the folder again and upload from here.
