Install front-end only and use production server back office/database

Hello,

I have a production Ghost (last version) installed on digitalocean working properly.

I want to customize the theme (casper) from my computer.
I want to avoid installing nginx, mysql and node on my computer.

Is it possible to install ghost front-end only (on my computer) and to connect it to a remote server/database ?

There’s no way to do what you are asking, but you only need Node on your computer to develop locally:
