Member vs paid members?

I see that posts can be made accessible:

  • public
  • members only
  • paid members only
  1. What’s the difference between members and paid members?
  2. Is it possible for ‘complimentary’ members to upgrade to a paid membership?

1 - In settings there is the option to offer free member sign up

2 - free members can upgrade to paid membership once signed in providing you have the reverent pages to allow it e.g. an account management page

ah, thank you. Hadn’t spotted that. In essence then Ghost supports 3 tiers then (free, free-member, paid-member).

Thats right, when publishing a post you can select public, members or paid members.
