Meta description is missing from all posts/pages

Hi,

I’ve an issue with Ghost 3.3 and Nurui theme for Ghost.

All my posts/pages haven’t got description.

Is it mandatory to add description from post settings meta description input?
Or I can add automatically description in theme with variable?
