I have set up my blog to email members with new posts. But I would like the newsletter to contain only the post excerpt, not the entire text. Is that possible at this time? If not, consider this a suggestion! Thanks.

From what i know, this is not possible natively. If you want to have a newsletter with excerpts only, you should use a third party service, such as Mailchimp or Revue.
Something like that isn’t available at this time, but you can check out a workaround here (which I’ve yet to try out, but hope to next month):

i tested this when that idea was posted and it works. Now, you should be really careful about the timing, and i personally dont like it that much but it does work. Hope it is helpful to you any of the suggestions.
