How can I find out if Ghost would be a good option for a site I manage currently on WordPress? I’m not good at web technology. Ghost looks like a great switch even though my association is not into making money with our website. Thanks for any help in this decision. I think Ghost would be pretty good fit for your site. You don’t have any features that seem overly technical, and as far as I can tell Ghost would do all that your current site does.
Since you are on Wordpress.com, you are paying for your hosting there. You would need to find a hosting provider, or go with Ghost Pro.
The other issue would be finding a theme that does what you want. If you don’t mind the look of the site changing some, that shouldn’t be an issue.
Finally, you would need to have your domain name point to your new site. I’ve not used Wordpress.com, but I assume they own the domain name. You would need to work that out.

Thank you VERY much! I need to look into cost for us, as I’m the one who donates that each year. 
Ghost really seems attractive to me. WordPress has been difficult for me to figure things out there and has only gotten more complicated.
