Send by email when publishing default setting

Hello All,

When publishing a post the default is always to send an email to subscribers. Is there a way to set this to be default not to send email to subscribers.

I post a lot on my site but only want to send emails for two of the posts per month. It is easy enough to click send by email off but in time I’ll make a mistake and forget to do this so I’d much rather be able to set it the other way.

I seem to remember there being an option for this but cannot find it anymore. Maybe it disappeared with the v4 update?

This works nicely now -

Go to Settings->Email Newsletter → Default Newsletter Recipients

There is very exact control for the default of when and how emails are sent.

Well, excellent – I had no idea that had been added (or was there all along). That will save me a few clicks and a few seconds – and when you publish as many posts as we do, that turns out to be a Big Deal. Thanks for the info!
