That’s more in the realm of theme implementation - For example, Zvikov by @HauntedThemes does something similar to what you’re describing
I found a template that has left and right arrows, called zvikov, but it doesnt have swipe. I’ll keep looking. thanks
On Zvikov, to make it work with gestures, on mobile/tablets, you can set allowTouchMove, in main.js, at line 54 to true and it should work.
Moving into the #themes category as this is definitely theme-specific rather than something that would be added to Ghost core
