I thought this functionality used to exist, but now I can’t find it. After a user signs up as a member, how do you redirect them to a custom welcome page (in lieu of an autoresponder)?
There’s this old documentation page, but I’m not actually seeing this in the Ghost backend:
Ah…Thanks. Although it doesn’t actually seem to work when I add a link there and subscribe.
It works when I subscribe with an unregistered account.
I followed all the steps here, and it still doesn’t work.
My site is Vivid Guitar Newsletter.
All I get when subscribing as a new member is the message of “Please check your inbox and click the link to confirm your subscription”.
I’m using the Free tier as the only tier I have set up.
Perhaps because you’re using only the free tier, users aren’t auto-redirected to the welcome page. However, the signup link users receive through email will redirect them to your welcome page.
Redirecting after they click the signup link in the email isn’t happening either. It just goes to my homepage.
If the redirect isn’t designed to work with the free tier, well, that’s just poor design, as that doesn’t make a lot of sense.
I checked your signup link, it led me to Welcome
Looks like it’s now working once someone clicks the link in the email. Thanks for your help!
