Some posts do not appear on ActivityPub reader

My most recent post - paywalled, so only visible to paying subscribers - did not appear on my ActivityPub reader. Previous posts with similar access restrictions have appeared. There are three differences I’m aware of that apply to this post:

  1. the recent post uses a custom post template, not one of the default ones provided with Ghost
  2. there was no public preview section (but there was a summary sentence or two at the top of the article that would appear on a web post over the header image)
  3. There was no header image

This seems inconsistent behaviour. I would expect the title and leader sentence (the bit that appears at the top of the web page) to appear.

Are there post-level determinants that influence whether posts apear in the ActivityPub reader?

Either the post needs to be public, or if non-public, needs to have a public preview set.

Thanks @Cathy_Sarisky . I still think this is inconsistent. On the website the post appears even without the public preview (together with a “you must pay to go any further” sign), but in the reader is does not.

I’ll have to explore whether adding a public preview above any text in the body of the post results in a duplication of the ‘pay now’ and/or allows paywalled posts to also appear in the reader.
